Stucco, brick or stone siding?

Water damage hides behind the walls. We find it.

Intrusive moisture testing that measures the sheathing behind the cladding, not just the surface.

Moisture meter probing a stucco wall near a window

Barrier cladding like stucco, brick and stone looks solid from the street. When water gets behind it, the damage happens out of sight, in the sheathing and framing. By the time it shows inside, repairs can mean removing whole walls of siding. Testing is how you find out first.

What we check

  • Probe readings in the wall sheathing at high-risk spots: windows, doors, roof-wall intersections and decks
  • Thermal imaging to guide test locations
  • Flashing, sealant and drainage details
  • Core samples at areas of concern when readings call for it

What you get

  • A map of every test site with its reading
  • Photos of each location
  • A plain-language explanation of what the numbers mean
  • Clear next steps, from monitoring to siding removal

Readings are a snapshot in time. Season and recent weather affect results, so we explain what your readings mean for your home today. After any repair, test again within three months.

Questions, answered

Is the testing destructive?

We drill small holes for the probes and seal them afterward.

Do I need this if the home passed a regular inspection?

A standard inspection is visual. It can't measure moisture inside the wall. Testing can.

When should I re-test?

After any repair, test again within three months. Annual exterior maintenance, clean gutters, good grading and controlled indoor humidity all reduce moisture problems.

How is it priced?

Price depends on the cladding and the number of test sites. Book online or call for a quote.
